After some thought I've decided to break this section of my website
up so that a broader range of technologies and their aspects may
be covered. Working as a web developer and running Creative Consultants
Group demands that I keep up with the pletora of technologies out
there.
Each technology does serve a valid purpose and for the right business
it can make all the difference.
Before you move forward, I would like to provide you an example from my own business and hard work.
I've got a team of about 5-6 of us who work on various projects
as they come along. Each member's skills are utilized as the project
calls for. I know it would be a lot easier on all of us if I set
up a collaboration tool of some sort. Dealing with emails, and document
storage on indiviual hard drives is a lot of effort to keep basis
with the core issues of each project.
The exchange of information and process flows within any group is challenging. Putting structures in place is challenging.
I have begun the search for a good collaborative tool. I am looking
at both open-source and paying solutions. I am at the point in which
I need to evalulate where my business is. What sorts of technologies
would be best utilized to create structures around various business
processes?
As I said I am exploring information management tools. Your business
may be at another point, but none the less, there are technological
solutions out there that far outweight manual processes. It is my
hope to impart a bit of this hard earned knowledge to you. Keep
